Calling all families, lovers of Vermont’s farms & forests, and shoppers of all things wood! You’re invited to the Vermont Forest Festival this Fall in beautiful Woodstock, Vermont. Meet Vermont wood artisans while shopping for wood products at the Billings Farm & Museum. Vermont woodworking vendors will be selling their unique products, including wood carvings, cutting boards, turned bowls, home accessories, jewelry, puzzles, handcrafted boxes, toys & games, wooden birds, unique chairs, bedroom and dining furniture, & more! Watch modern and traditional lathe turning techniques by professional wood turners on the farm grounds. Come see and feel the quality of the products you will hand down to generations to come. Enjoy hands-on family friendly activities at the Farm and National Park. Meet the draft horses, sheep, chickens, and jersey cows as you discover more about Vermont’s farming and forest heritage. Learn about the history of woodworking in Vermont since 1791 and how the Vermont Forest Products Supply Chain works. Once you are done with your woodworking & farm experience, walk directly across the street (no need to move your car from Billings Farm) and enjoy the Forest Festival weekend at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park. Wagon rides, horse logging, children’s woodcraft’s, forest tours, and so much more! Something for every age!
Event dates/hours: Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
LIVE musical entertainment by local, Vermont musician, J. Michael Kelly and wood-fired pizza by Woodbelly Pizza for festival goers to enjoy! What is better than dough made from freshly milled wheat flour from Elmore Mountain Bakery, veggies from local farms, luscious cheeses (from Cabot, Sweet Rowen, Sage Hill and Willow Moon), and organic meats? YUM!
The event has been designated once again as a Vermont Chamber of Commerce Top Ten Fall Event!
